My 1st Mother's Day

Today was my first Mother's Day, and it was perfect.  I do not believe I ever fully understood the greatness of this day until I was able to experience it for myself for the first time.  We had a lazy morning, and Ramsey (Dad) gave me flowers, M&M's and a card which brought tears to me eyes.  Blake thanked me for giving him the greatest gift, Miss Ramsey, and today and everyday I am thankful he gave me Ramsey.  Nana came over to have lunch at the house and we finished the day with a walk in the neighborhood.  God has blessed me with not only a child, but a FAMILY.

Motherhood was not something I expected so quickly.  I will never know the struggles or emotional roller coaster many couples go through to create a family.  Honestly, nothing in life has come easily for me except becoming pregnant with Miss Ramsey.  I remember once we confirmed we were pregnant, I prayed one night and thanked God for the wonderful little gift he planted inside of me.  As I watch her grow and change each day, I am humbled and ever so grateful to God to have been chosen to be a Mother and especially to be Ramsey's mother. 

Ramsey, I love you from the depths of my heart and with every ounce of my being.  I pray that God enables me to be everything that you need and I will work everyday to live up to the high expectations I have set for myself as your Mother.  I hope to make you proud and I hope to make you feel loved each and everyday.  I hope to influence you in ways and develop you to become the best person you can be, and I pray that God will enable us to experience many joyful moments and have a wonderful life as a family.  You are so loved and I am honored to me your Mother.  Love, Mommy   

Ramsey's Sip & See and my Birthday

We had a great evening with family and friends celebrating Ramsey and my birthday.  The Sip & See was a great way for friends to meet Ramsey and for me to have some adult time!

Week Four

At Ramsey's 4 week dr. appt she measured 22 inches long and weighed 9 lbs 8 oz.  She is long and lean and growing right on target! 

Newborn Photo Shoot

Blake and I headed to Lake Kiowa to our friend Julie and Brian's house to take newborn photos.  Blake and Brian spent the day playing golf while Julie and I hung out with our two little ones and did newborn photos.  Ramsey was a little fussy, but we got some awesome pictures.  Ramsey is three weeks in these photos.

Week Two

Ramsey is modeling this adorable panda outfit from Aunt Hailey!  She doesn't like bows and waffle bands, but I am good about only making her wear them for pictures or social outtings!

One Week

Nana (my mother) came home with us from the hospital and stayed to help for 2 weeks.  It was a blessing to have her here!  Bailey is adjusting well and is very protective of Ramsey, he doesn't like her to cry or be upset.  Ramsey is growing and changing each and every day.

Ramsey is Here!!

Ramsey was born on March 24, 2011 at 5:16pm weighing 7 lbs 15 oz and 20 inches long.  Both Grandparents were there to welcome her in to the world.  Blake and I are so blessed by our little miracle.
 

Baby Shower February 19, 2011

I had a wonderful afternoon with my girls and the hostesses were with the mostest and completely out did themselves.  We had champagne (well not me, well maybe a sip), an assortment of dips, yummy initial cupcakes and the best diaper cake I have ever seen!  It was filled with onesies, pacifiers, and all sorts of goodies.  Thank you to all the hostesses for making my day so special:  Amy, Amy, Jenny and Trisha. 

Ramsey's Nursery... the work is done!

If I say so myself, I am pretty proud at how this room all came together.  The crib was purchased by Blake's parents, and the rocker was handed down to me by my mother.  The rocker "rocked" me, my mother, her dad and my grandfather and his mother.  It's over a 100 years old and in amazing condition.  I repurposed a china hutch I had, and it will be her bookshelf.  I bought a mini buffet table for her changing table, so I can reuse down the road-- I am just too practical!  The bedding, curtain, and lamp all came in a set that was handmade by another mother and purchased off Craigslist.  The final piece was a black and tan shag rug from, dare I say, Wal Mart!  And the artwork above the crib was made by yours truly. 

Work Shower February 10, 2011

I am a little behind on my posting!  During all the snow storms, my Shower was moved around a bit, but my wonderful co-workers overwhelmed me with their thoughtfulness and generosity.  It was perfect, and I got all the little things I needed along with some super cute outfits!

Nursery In Progress

My wonderful husband surprised me this week by cleaning out the office, painting the nursery, and setting up the crib all in one day!!  Today Lindsey and Mom came over and helped me organize and work on the nursery.  I have a ways to go, but it's looking good so far.

Family Shower December 18th

Finally uploading pictures from my family shower during Christmas Time.  I had almost everyone one that I love dearly in one room.  It was a wonderful day celebrating Ramsey.

30 week Sonogram

I still need to post the photos from my Family Baby Shower which was Dec. 17th!  I wanted to post these latest photos of Ramsey Arin.  I am so thankful that she is measuing exactly her age and the blood flow is still strong.  10 more weeks to go, we are in our last tri-mester!!  Please keep us in your prayers.
